Lego Star Wars is a Lego theme that incorporates the Star Wars saga. Originally it was only licensed from 1999–2008, but the Lego Group extended the license with Lucasfilm Ltd. multiple times: First to 2011 and then again until 2016. In 2012 another 10-year agreement was signed between the two companies.

LEGO is one of the most popular, and best-selling, toys of all time and is a household name all over the world. It’s fun for children and adults of all ages and has an incredible history dating back over 80 years. Lego’s name derives from the Danish phrase “leg godt” meaning play well.

The Hula Hoop began as a simple wooden ring sold in retails stores in 1957. They were such a hit that the company began manufacturing them in bright colors made of plastic.

Charles Pajeau of Illinois invented Tinker Toys. At first, no one was interested, so at Christmas time he hired several “little people” to dress as elves and play with the toy in the display window of a Chicago department store. His publicity stunt worked and we still have them some 97 years later.
